Opposite sides of a collapsible metal box (Fig. 1) are divided longitudinally and hinged together by vertical rods a (Fig. 5). The edges of the walls are beaded and contain reinforcing rods d. The hinge rods a on the divided sides A, A<SP>1</SP> are held in position by the beading and by overlapping channels b, c on the lid B and base C. The wire a<SP>3</SP> at the top of one half A<SP>1</SP> of each divided side is long enough to extend over the hinge a and at its outer corner is turned downward to lie parallel with the comer hinge. Specification 780,084 is referred to.
