Abstract

1,253,405. Stacking and nesting boxes. MS INDUSTRIES Inc. 28 Aug., 1969 [28 Aug., 1968], No. 42826/69. Heading B8P. A box comprises walls 11, 12 sloping upwardly and outwardly from a bottom wall (10) and a lid comprising two elements 16, 17 each hinged to one wall 11 and having interfitting elements 20 21 which overlap depressed portions 23, 22 respectively. To facilitate stacking the lid has an effectively flat depressed surface equal in size to the bottom (10) of the box. To facilitate nesting the box walls have inwardly and outwardly depressed wedge-shaped elements (13, 14) and stop elements (15), and the lid elements, in the open position, overlap those of the box below.
