Abstract

1,261,883. Containers. THERMO PLASTICS Ltd. 3 March, 1969 [22 Dec., 1967], No. 58532/67. Heading B8P. The side walls 1, 2, 3, 4 of a container are hinged at la, 2a, 3a, 4a about a top rim 7 and linked by hinged webs to the base 5 so that they may be expanded for stacking, Figs. 1 and 3, or contracted for nesting, Figs. 2 and 4. Openings 6 at the corners, allow this movement. The side walls may be interlocked together by interengaging tongues (4e, 4f) and slots (1e, and 3e) (Figs. 5, 6 and 7, not shown). The container may be of cardboard, metal or plastics moulded as a single sheet (Fig. 5).
