Abstract

1,186,190. Stackable and nestable containers. PLASTIMONDE. 21 April, 1967 [29 April, 1966], No. 18468/67. Heading B8P. When plastics, metal, wood, cardboard, &c containers are directly superposed in a stack, the loads are transmitted through pillars 2, 4 which are also superposed. To nest one container within a lower one, the upper container is turned through 180 degrees about a vertical axis so that pillars 2 of the lower container engage in slots 5 of the upper one. A peripheral rib (8) on the container base, Fig. 3 (not shown), assists in centring the containers during stacking. The pillars 2, 4 may be located at positions other than those shown, e.g. at the corners.
