Abstract

954,454. Plastics containers. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. Feb. 12, 1962 [Feb. 14, 1961], No. 6320/62. Heading B8D. A plastics container, 1, for air-tight storage of liquids has an upper peripheral rim 4 provided with at least two closed spouts 5 arranged diametrically opposite each other. The container has a slightly dished bottom and a reinforcing ring 3 is provided in the upper surface. To empty the container the tops of the spouts are cut off by scissors or similar cutting instruments. The spouts may have one or more nicks so that the scissors may grip and may have their outer walls flush with the outer wall of the container. The containers may be readily stacked.
