Description
Fig. 1 zeigt einen erfindungsgemässen Behälter im Grundriss.
Plastic containers
The invention relates to a plastic container of the type used for storing liquids in the absence of air. After such a container has been filled, the filling opening is usually closed or sealed.
If the liquid is to be used, two diametrically opposed holes must be pierced in the lid or the top of the container. One of these holes allows the liquid to flow out, while air can flow into the upper part of the container through the other hole.
In the case of a rigid tin can, the holes can be made by piercing without the liquid being forced out of the first hole when the second hole is made; however, with a collapsible plastic container, it is difficult to make the holes.
After a first opening has been made, only a slight pressure is required on the top or the side wall of the container in order to let some of the liquid squirt out. Therefore, when piercing or punching the holes, some of the liquid can be lost through splashing.
It is now an aim of the invention to obviate this disadvantage.
For this purpose, the container is provided on its upper outer edge with two or more diametrically opposed, narrow, closed pouring elements made of plastic.
In order to enable the contents of the container to be poured out, it is then only necessary to open the pouring organs with a cutting tool, e.g. B. one
Scissors, cut open. No pressure is applied to the container, so that no liquid is lost through splashing.
In a preferred embodiment, the pouring organs can be provided with a notch in order to give the scissors a better possibility of attack.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a schematic drawing of an embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows a container according to the invention in plan.
FIG. 2 shows the container according to FIG. 1 in a vertical section along the line II-II in FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 and 4 each show a side view of various forms of closed pouring organs.
According to the drawing, a cylindrical container 1 made of flexible plastic with a slightly indented bottom 2 and an upper side, which has reinforcing edges 3 and 4, is provided on the outer reinforcing edge 4 with two diametrically opposed closed pouring organs 5 made of the same material how the container and its outer walls are in alignment with the outer wall of the container. The pouring organs 5 are relatively wide at their lower ends and taper towards the upper ends. Instead of just two pouring organs, four or more pouring organs can be provided.
In order to allow the container to be emptied, the upper ends of the two pouring organs can be cut off with the aid of scissors or pliers.
To attack immediately. To ensure the scissors, the pouring organs in the preferred embodiment according to FIG. 4 are each provided with a notch 6 on both sides.
The pouring organs and the profiled bottom of the container are shaped in such a way that several similar containers can easily be stacked one on top of the other, the stacked containers nesting with one another even better than containers not provided with such pouring organs.
