Abstract
723,046. Boxes. FRACHEBOUD, M. June 10,1952 [June 14, 1951], No. 14571/52. Class 18. A dismountable box has wedge shaped portions of trapezoidal cross-section on the edges of some side walls engaging corresponding recesses formed by elements attached to the others. In one embodiment wedges 16 on walls 12 engage recesses formed by elements 17a, 17b attached to walls 13. Lid and bottom panels 15 are secured to the sides by binding fit within the members 13, 17a and carry battens preventing disengagement of the joints. In other embodiments the joining elements may be formed by bent sheet metal secured to the wood panels, Fig. 1. A pair of side walls may be grooved to receive slidably a lid and base which prevent disengagement of the joints.
