Abstract

1290261 Collapsible boxes HAMBURGER SEGMENT - BEHALTERBAU - UND VERTRIEBS GmbH 27 Jan 1970 [31 Jan 1969] 3990/70 Heading B8P A collapsible wooden box has separate side walls, cover and base, the side walls carrying hooks 16 which engage apertures in plates 41 secured to the base and covering upwardly and laterally open base recesses 40. The side walls are fastened together by clips 18 which bridge the tops of the box corners and engage behind reinforcing boards 5-8 on the box sides. The clips 18 may, as shown, be of a form which engages only the outsides of the side walls, or may engage both the insides and the outsides of the walls, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 8 (not shown), the side walls are held erect by their engagement under flanges on the box cover. Fasteners are provided for securing the flanges to the box side walls. Wedges on the insides of the flanges ensure that the side walls are correctly positioned when the cover is in position.
