[Also in Group XXX] A box in which the side, end, base and lid panels are releasably assembled, has projecting ribs running along the lower edges of the side and end panels which engage peripheral grooves in the base with a hinging action, to secure them to the base. The panels in the embodiment described are each formed of extruded strip frames enclosing corrugated sheets 6. All four sides 5 of the base frame have grooves 15 which are engaged by ribs 27 on the lower frame members 20 of the sides 3 and ends 2. The vertical side and end frame members do not interlock, the end members 20 being of identical section with the frame members on the lower edges of the ends, but the side members 28 having no groove. Clips 35 secured to the members 28 engage portions of the vertical members 20 to join the sides and ends. The lid 4 has a connection at one edge 30 with an end 3 which is the same as that between the sides and ends and the base, but the remaining end and the sides inter-fit with the lid in the same manner as the vertical edges of the sides and ends. Clips 35 keep the lid closed. Partition members 90, 91 joined by hook means 95 may be hinged to the lid and base. Slinging and stacking of the box is facilitated by cleats 50, 80 on the base 1 and lid 4. The cleats 50 have sloping surfaces 68 which engage inwardly sloping ribs 81, 82 when one box is placed on another, and eyelets 69, 87 are provided for ropes &c.
