Abstract

904,439. Shelves. BLAKDALE PRODUCTS Ltd. Sept. 29, 1959 [Sept. 29, 1958], No. 31059/58. Class 52 (1). The rims along two opposed longitudinal edges of a sheet metal shelf 1 for cupboards &c. are formed by ribs 5 of closed box section, the wall 5c of each rib disposed innermost of the shelf being flanged with the flanged portion lying flat against the underface of the sheld and preferably spot welded thereto. The shorter shelf edges may have channel-shaped marginal cross-members, spot-welded thereto and additional intermediate cross-reinforcements may be provided.
