581,857. Cabinets. WHITE & CO., Ltd., J. S., and ROYLE, L. May 30, 1944, No. 10358. [Class' 52 (i)] A sheet metal cupboard comprises at least two units A, B of sheet metal shown in plan in Fig. 5 pressed out to U-shape and each adapted to form the two sides and back of a unit compartment, the front adjoining edges A', B<3> of the sides being turned over inwards and connected by sliding over them a U-section strip C with inturned edges, a door M for each unit having its hinges N attached to the inturned edge of the unit, and metal sheets L, D closing in the top and bottom of the units. The adjoining sides A<1>, B' of the units may be connected by screws or spot welding and the strip C is fixed to the edges A', B' by rivets. Shelves F, G and runners H for drawers J are fixed in the compartments. A number of units may be arranged side by side or superimposed.
