Abstract

611,834. Furniture combinations; cabinets. NATHAN, Ltd.. B. & I., and NATHAN, B. May 10, 1946, No. 14133. [Classes 52(i) and 52(iii)] An article of furniture comprises a cabinet body having cupboards one being at the back and another at the front, shelves at the back and the front to form a bookcase and two-leaf folding table top pivoted upon the upper part of the cabinet so that it can be turned about the pivot and extended to form a dining table. The cabinet body is divided longitudinally by a partition 4 and transverse partitions 5 to form cupboards 6, 7 and compartments 8, 9 which are provided with shelves 10 to form a bookcase. The cabinet top 2 has pivoted thereto by a vertical pivot a leaf 28 to which a second leaf 29 is hinged at 30 so that the leaves when turned and extended form the top of a dining table. The front cupboard 6 is provided with shelves 11, pigeon holes 12 and a hinged door 13 carrying a writing flap 14 hinged thereto and supportable by a bracket 15. The rear cupboard 7 is provided with a pivoted panel 17 which in one position forms a closure for the cupboard and when swung round exposes a cocktail or like carrier formed thereon.
