Abstract
562,083. Kitchen cabinets. BARKER & CO., Ltd., J., and BODGER, C. S. Feb. 26, 1943, No. 3193. [Class 52 (i)] A kitchen cabinet comprises an upper compartment with shelf and drawers 14-17 and a lower dresser compartment lined with tiles or glass and provided with shelves 9, the compartments being closed by upper doors 2 and by a hinged flap 6 securable in table position by its inner edge abutting against the underside of the bottom 7 of the dresser. Recessed side cupboards 10, 24 are also provided, the floor of the cupboard 10 being part of the roof of the dresser space. Hooks for cups &c. may be fixed in this roof. 20 is a bottom cabinet, at the top of which is a rail 23 which on closure of the flap 6 forms a substantial seal of the cabinet at that hinge. This cabinet is free of obstructions such as legs, or suspending chains, and the interior is readily washable. Spring catches or buttons 18 are provided for the flap 6. The cabinet may be made of wood or plastic material and the shelving may be of glass or plastic.
