Abstract

891,855. Shelves. WEATHERLEY, R. B. Jan. 22, 1960 [Jan. 26, 1959], No. 2825/59. Class 52(1) In metallic shelving, double leaf end walls bent from a single sheet have their rounded edges facing forwardly and are provided with pressed out lugs to support the shelves. The lugs 16 may be formed on a separate strip 17 or directly on the sheet material. They may be provided with strengthening ribs 18. Strips 17 may also be attached to a single leaf sheet metal rear wall to engage depending flanges on the rear edges of the shelves. Reference is made to the use of a wire loop extending downwardly from one shelf to hold books upright on the shelf next below and to the use of inclined shelves.
