849,710. Knitting-machines. ETABLISSEMENTS LEBOCEY MACHINES. Oct. 6, 1958 [Oct. 4, 1957], No. 31856/58. Class 74 (2). A circular machine for producing a pile fabric has members 4 supported in a dial and over which the pile loops 5 are drawn by the needles 2 in the needle cylinder 1. A toothed disc 7 which is rotated by the cylinder 1 engages one leg only of each pile loop as the dial and cylinder rotate so that the loop is distorted to permit it to pass on to an arm 6 mounted substantially tangentially to the needle cylinder. On continued rotation of the dial and cylinder the members 3 are withdrawn to become disengaged from the loops 5 and the loops thereafter continue to pass along the arm 6 until they are severed at their apices by a cutter which may be in the form of a blade 11 mounted in a slot in the arm 6 or a rotatable disc engaging in a slot in the arm.
