Abstract

A high-strength titanium-base alloy having a good ductility, and capable of being rolled to sheet or bar form, has a composition in the following range: .Al.0.8-1.8% .V.7.5-8.5% .Fe.4.5-5.5% .O.0.3-0.5% .Ti.and impurities the balance The alloy may be annealed by heating at 1250 DEG F. furnace cooling to 900 DEG F. and then air cooling. The alloy may be hardened by heating to 1375 DEG F., quenching, ageing at 1000 DEG F. for 2 hours and then air cooling.
