Abstract

A nickel-base alloy has the following composition:- .C.............0.01-0.5% .Mn.............0.005-0.7% .Si.............0.005-0.7% .Co.............0-10% .Cr.............15.5-25% .Mo and/or W.........2-10% .Ti...........between 1 and 3% .Al.............5-8% .B.............0-0.02% p .Fe.............0-5% .Zr and/or Hf.........0.01-0.5% optionally Nb, Ta and/or V each up to 3%, and/or known deoxidants, e.g. Mg, Ca and/or Ce, each up to 0.5%, the balance being Ni and impurities. The alloy may be heat treated for 1 1/2 hours at 1200 DEG C. and aged for 16 hours at 850 DEG C.
