Abstract

Turbine blades or other articles subjected to stress at high temperature, e.g. above 925 DEG C., are cast from alloys having compositions, in per cent by weight, within the following range: .Mo.6.0-10.0 .Cr.10.0-35.0 .Al.4.0-8.0 .Ti.0.1-3.0 .Nb.0.1-5.0 .B.0.001-0.1 .Fe.0-25.0 .Zr.0-2.0 .Ni.and impurities the balance The alloy may also contain residual deoxidizing and desulphurizing elements such as Ca, Si, e.g. up to 1.0, Mn, e.g. up to 2.5, Cu, e.g. up to 2.0, C, e.g. up to 0.25.
