Abstract

An iron-nickle-chromium alloy comprises:- the balance, apart from impurities such as residual deoxidizing and cleansing elements and an amount of Ta up to 10% of the Nb content, being iron. The alloys may be hot worked annealed at 1095 C., cold rolled and solution treated at 980 C. followed by air cooling and optionally ageing at 650 C. and air cooling.
