[Also in Group XXV] In a door floor spring assembly comprising a fluid check device in which fluid is expelled from a cylinder 12 by a piston or plunger 9 through a restricted outlet 18, the expelled fluid passes through a filter element 21 before reaching the outlet. The filter is a fine-mesh wire gauze, push-fitted or otherwise secured against the end wall 16 of the cylinder chamber so as to cover the mouth of the fluid outlet passage 17. The valve screw 19 has threaded engagement with a spring-loaded non-rotatable nut 22 axially slidable in a passage 24, to constitute a pressure relief device.
