Abstract

818,863. Glazing; draught excluders. THOW Ltd., J. June 24, 1957 [March 24, 1956], No. 9261/56. Class 20(3) A weather bar 15 of sheet metal, e.g. aluminium, or plastics material, particularly for roof glazing, consists of a base 16 which rests on a bearer or purlin 12, a portion extending upwardly at 17 and then inwardly at 18 to fill the gap between the bearer or purlin 12 and the glass pane 10, and an upper inwardly extending portion 19 substantially parallel with the base 16, the part 19 having a longitudinally extending recess 20 in which is fitted a weather strip 21 preferably of rubber or plastic, to bear on the adjacent face of the pane 10. The weather bar 15 runs between adjacent glazing bars 11 and the portion 17 is slotted at both ends 22 adjacent the base 16 to accommodate the sides of shoes 13 which retain the panes 10 against sliding and clamp the bar 15 to the bearer or purlin 12 by screws 14.
