Abstract

1493959 Window frame J S JOHANSEN 13 Feb 1975 [20 Feb 1974] 6193/75 Heading E1J An openable window comprises a pane 1, 2 mounted in a sash 3 and a main frame 7 which has a projection 6 extending towards and substantially at right angles to the pane; a thermally insulating seal 8 is provided. The projection may be a separate plate 11 e.g. of plastics, a sub-sill 29 may be provided; these may be formed by a single piece 25. Condensate drainage holes may be provided and the plate may be arranged to direct an air current on to the pane.
