Abstract

642,634. Window glazing. YOUNG, W. July 19, 1948, No. 19296. [Class 20(iii)] A rubber or like glazing strip i for securing a glass or other pane in a window frame l has a channel n to receive the pane and two buttress flanges j and j' which hold the base of the strip below the channel clear of the window frame. As shown the flange j has a rib k which fits in a recess m in the frame and one of the sides of the channel n has a lip o which engages with the portion l<SP>2</SP> of the frame. In a modification the strip may be provided with two channels and one of the channels may be so arranged that the pane fitted therein may slide in its channel. Specification 562,395 is referred to.
