Abstract

492,793. Glazing window frames. DUTFIELD, A. E., RAWLINGS, E. J., and RAWLINGS MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Oct. 27, 1937, No. 29411. [Class 20 (iii)] A channelled rubber or like resilient strip 2 for applying to the edges of a window or like panel, to retain the latter detachably in a frame 4, is provided with one or more longitudinal ledges or catch pieces 1, projecting from the undersurface of the body portion of the strip, which engage in one or more corresponding channels 3 in the frame when the panel and edging strip are inserted by a transverse movement. The outer lip portion 7 of the strip may rest upon a flat portion 4<1> of the frame or may engage in a stepped portion therein. The outer wall 5<1> of the channel 5 is preferably inclined inwardly and is slightly higher than the opposite wall.
