639,629. Glazing ; panels. LIVERPOOL, LORD MAYOR, ALDERMEN, AND CITIZENS OF, and HEATHMAN, R. J. Jan. 30, 1948, No. 2751. .[Classes 20 (iii) and 20 (iv)] A resilient edging strip securing a window or panel &c. to a frame or other structure comprises a main part with a longitudinal recess receiving an edge of the glass and an interlocking keying strip, the recess and keying strip providing opposite walls of the channel accommodating the glass. A rubber edging strip has a longitudinal outwardly tapering recess in its base 10 for the edge of a surrounding frame or panel 12. Limb 13 of a main U-shaped recess is cut away at 14 to receive the edge of a window 15 and limb 16 is also cut away at an angle to form with the base of the U, a dovetail recess 18 to accommodate a rubber keying strip 19. In modifications the keying strip may have a rectangular seating for the glass and a semi-circular recess interlocking with a corresponding rib on the edging strip, or a part circular base fitting into a channel at the base of the U ; the edging strip may have a longitudinal tongue bearing on the window ledge &c. A double edging strip 28 is bonded to a metal frame member 29 for supporting panels 30 secured in position by keying strips 31.
