Abstract

674,250. Glazing windows. YOUNG, W. Aug. 31, 1950 [Sept. 21, 1949], No. 24244/49. Class 20(iii). A rubber &c. window glazing moulding of channel section has sides d inclined towards each other so that when a pane is inserted an outward bulge is formed in the sides of the moulding which are flattened out when the moulding is introduced into a frame channel c and form small clearances with the sides of the pane. Longitudinal ribs e are caused to press harder on to the pane by the co-operation of their underface with the edges of the frame and ensure that a clearance is made between the base of the moulding and the frame. A twin pane moulding has a central rib g with an enlarged head g<SP>1</SP>. The clearance between the base of the moulding and frame channel and between the sides of the moulding and pane permit of variation in pane dimensions.
