Abstract

915,752. Glazing strips. CAPEL, G. O. May 31, 1960, No. 19151/60. Class 20 (3). A glass pane 25 is mounted in an aperture in a door &c. by a strip of resilient material 10 having a glass receiving channel 12 and a substantially wider channel 14 on the opposite surface to embrace the peripheral portions of the aperture wall, either or both channels being wider at the bottom than at the top and preferably having longitudinallyextending ribs 32 on the sides of the channel 12. The thickness 15 between the bottoms of the channels is small compared with that of the jaws 20, 22 which are rigid and adapted to grip the glass 25 by closing about an axis in the thickness 15 when the jaws 16, 18 formed by channel 14, are spread apart to grip the aperture wall.
