Abstract

1510734 Double glazing K H DECKER 22 April 1975 [22 April 1974 10 Dec 1974 1 Feb 1975] 16678/75 Heading E1R An elongate channel-section glazing bar, one or both of the walls 16, 16a having an angle piece 17, 18 and the web having a rib 21, holds two panes 1, 2 bedded in plastics material 5 and spaced apart by a hollow spacer 6 which may hold desiccant material; and allows double-glazing to be installed in a frame with a sloping shoulder from which a single pane has been removed. The inner flange 9 is extended downwards and has an angled extension 11 which is fixed to the sloping surface 10 of the frame member 13. The old putty rebate 14 may be filled with a sealing compound 15. A further flange 22 parallel to the web may be provided so that an angle piece 25, 26 may be added. The web of the glazing bar may be divided at the rib 21 and an insulating strip inserted (Figs. 5-7 not shown).
