Abstract

948,032. Double glazing. DEUTSCHE TAFELGLAS A.G. Dec. 11, 1961 [Dec. 22, 1960], No. 44268/61. Heading E1R. The edges of the panes in a multiple paned window are covered with adhesive tape 2 and are contained between an inner compressed steel spacer 3, which may be formed without the central loop, and an outer steel channel 4 whose flanges have been straightened out by the panes. A second cement or adhesive layer 5 may be used between the channel 4 and the outside of a pane, and the panes may be of silicate glass or of transparent plastic material.
