Abstract

802,614. Fork lift trucks. CLARK EQUIPMENT CO. March 25,1957 [April 11, 1956], No. 9665/57. Class 78 (3). The tines 36 of a fork truck are adjustable across the lifting-plate 34 and are retained in their adjusted position by spring catches engaging notches 50. A block 54 welded to the top of each tine carries a spring-loaded plunger 74 which is pivoted at 72 to a lever 70 which, when raised, retracts the plunger and allows the tine to be moved along plate 34. In a modification, Fig. 7, a spring-loaded plunger 94 is secured to the rear of the tine by means of a housing 84 and the top of the tine is slotted at 92 to accommodate the release lever 98.
