Abstract

825,492. Masked lift trucks with gripping devices. REGISTERED PROJECTS Ltd. (Jungheinrich & Co. Maschinenfabrik, H.). March 13, 1958 [May 10, 1957], No. 14889/57. Classes 78 (3) and 78 (4). A drum-carrying attachment for a masked lift truck comprises a pair of jaws a, c, pivoted at d and f respectively, to a frame i mounted on the lifting carriage of the truck, and interconnected by a link g. In operation, the lower jaw a is brought against the underside of a rim b of the drum and on raising the frame i the jaw a pivots against the action of a spring h and brings the upper jaw c down to hook into the drum top. The drum is also engaged by a support member (not shown) secured to the carriage below the jaws.
