837,344. Lift trucks. YALE & TOWNE MANUFACTURING CO. Nov. 20, 1957, No. 36180/57. Class 78 (3). The lifting carriage 20 of a lift truck is mounted by means of parallelogram links 24, 25 on a movable standard 29 which in turn is mounted on a pair of fixed standards 35 by means of pairs of parallelogram links 36, 39. An hydraulic ram 30 raises the carriage relative to standard 29 whilst this standard is raised relative to standards 35 by a pair of laterally spaced rams 44. The rams are actuated either simultaneously through a metering or proportioning valve, or separately. A ram 45 is provided to tip the fork or other load carrier about its pivot 19.
