857,656. Lift trucks. YALE & TOWNE MANUFACTURING CO. Aug. 15, 1958 [Dec. 3, 1957], No. 22730/60. Divided out of 857,655. Class 78 (3). In a lift truck, a fork 16 is pivoted at 21, 22 to pairs of levers 17, 19 which are pivoted at 25, 26 to a pair of levers 24, and the levers 24 are pivoted at 26 and 40 respectively to a pair of arms 27 and a pair of hydraulic rams 36, which rams and arms are pivoted at 37 and 28 respectively to the frame of the truck. The arrangement of the linkage is such that the fork moves in a substantially vertical path when the arms 19 are luffed by a pair of rams 29 pivoted at 31 to a pair of levers 32 pivoted to the arms 19 at 35 and to the truck frame at 34. Extension and retraction of rams 36 varies the inclination of the fork.
