Abstract
768,691. Traversing drawing rollers. ESTIRAJES BALMES SOC. ANON. March 3, 1954 [March 20, 1953], No. 6243/54. Class 120 (2). One of the upper rollers of drawing mechanism is given a to and fro motion in synchronism with a traverse motion effected by the roving so that the zone of contact of the roving with the roller is always the same. In the preferred form, a light upper roller 6 is carried in supports 14 attached to a plate 12 detachably fixed to a bar 11 that extends throughout the entire length of the machine and is actuated with a traverse equal to that of the roving. The plate 12 is associated with all the drawing rollers between two roller stands and has notches that fit over projecting parts 15 on the bar 11. Upper rollers 2, 4 are connected by a rod 20 extending between supports 18 which are so held on the rod as to have a turning movement about it thereby enabling the rollers 2, 4 to oscillate and bear evenly on the rovings passing beneath them.
