550,794. Drawing or drafting apparatus of spinning machines. COLONIA GUELL SOC. ANON. March 19, 1942, No. 3675. Convention date, May 1, 1941. [Class 120 (ii)] Apparatus for weighting the drawing rollers in a spinning machine comprises a saddle formed of a front member 11 and a back member 12 articulated thereto the connection 25 being adjustable in one of a number of holes 26, 27 .. in order to vary the loading when the distances between the pairs of rollers is altered. The front member 11 is formed with an extension 13 to which the rod 15 of the weighting lever 16 is joined and also with surfaces 19, 21 for guiding the journals of the clearer brush 20 when clearing the front rollers 1 or the back pairs 2, 3, the part of the saddle between the surfaces 19, 21 being sufficiently high so that the brush 20 in sliding thereon is clear of the handle of the condenser 7 and of the framework of the guide roller 5. The apparatus is shown in association with the drawing mechanism described in Specification 515,910 and the arm 13 is extended at 30 so as to occupy the space between the frames of two adjacent guide rollers 5 and thereby prevent their axial displacement.
