Abstract
793,280. Clearing apparatus for rollers. WEBER, E. Feb. 7, 1956 [Feb. 18, 1955; March 15, 1955], No. 3729/56. Class 120(2) A drawing head for a textile spinning machine includes at least one cleaner roll to collect fly or lint from one of the usual grooved rolls and a smoothing member adapted to compress the fly or line on the surface of the cleaner roll. A grooved roll 7 is cleaned by a roll 8, of wood covered with plush, the bearing pin 9 of which is carried in a recess 10 extended on one side at 11. The spindles 12 of a smoothing roll 13 are laid against this side 11 so that the roll 13 rests on the roll 8. A bar 13<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3, may be employed instead of the roll 13. In another embodiment, the clearing roll 8 is provided at each end with a collar and the smoothing roll 13 or bar 13<SP>1</SP> with bevelled end discs or plates which direct the coating of lint on the roll 8 into traps in the collars on the roll 8.
