679,542. Textile drafting apparatus. FINE SPINNERS & DOUBLERS, Ltd. Aug. 26, 1949 [Sept. 4, 1948], No. 23324/48. Class 120(ii) In order to stabilize the position of the line of contact between the two front rollers of a drafting device despite movements of the bottom roller during rotation, means are provided to create an opposite movement of the axis of the top roller to that taken bv the bottom roller. The front cap bar neb is formed in two parts N', which is fixed, and N<SP>2</SP>, which is movable. Front part N<SP>2</SP> is mounted on a rocker V, pressed by springs against a pin p on an adjustable rod J, mounted in a bracket B attached to the cap bar b. The lower part of rocker V is normally pressed against a land b<SP>2</SP> of the bottom roller B' and irregularities in the movement of roller B' bring about a movement in the opposite direction of the upper roller T'.
