Abstract

757,785. Cathode-ray tubes. CHROMATIC TELEVISION LABORATORIES, Inc. Oct. 20, 1952 [Oct. 23, 1951], No. 26211/52. Class 39 (1). A grid structure intended to control the colour excitation of a multi-colour phosphor screen in a cathode-ray tube is built up from two spaced parallel beams 1, 3, each of which bears a plurality of cantilever arms 9, 9<SP>1</SP>, 9<SP>11</SP> located in staggered array. Conductor wires 11, 15 of stainless steel or nickel are strung between the arms, engaging in arcuate slots therein, and are connected ultimately to the control terminals 17, 19. In a modification, Fig. 4, the arms 31 are formed with hooks 35, 37 and are connected to terminal conductor plates 41, 43, 45, 47 in the beams 20, 27. Single wires are strung under tension between corresponding hooks. Specifications 722,282 and 757,071 are referred to.
