757,786. Colour television tubes. CHROMATIC TELEVISION LABORATORIES, Inc. Oct. 20, 1952 [Jan. 8, 1952; Oct. 23, 1952], No. 26212/52. Class 39 (1). An electrode structure for controlling the incidence of the electron beam on to the threecolour screen of a cathode-ray tube comprises a support frame with spaced beams defining the window area, each beam 25 being slotted to receive two comb members 35 formed with grooves 47 to the comb ends and pins 49 with L-shaped heads located in slots at the bottoms of the comb recesses 44 so that conductor wires can be strung in pairs or otherwise between the beams. The whole frame is supported by bracket members just in front of the multi-strip phosphor screen, and the impact thereon is controlled by applying different potentials to the conductor systems strung between the combs to vary the angle of incidence and control the focusing of the electron beam.
