Abstract

806,257. Caps for thermionic valves. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. June 26, 1957 [July 2, 1956], No. 20213/57. Class 38 (1). A cap for a wire terminal electron tube comprises an insulating member 14 having a set of circularly arranged bores 20 therethrough for the terminal leads 12, one face of the member 14 being so stepped that a pair of bores lies in each tread. In another embodiment (Figs. 7 and 8) the topmost tread is recessed at 40 and is arranged approximately diametrically but to one side of a diameter, tread 36 being arranged chordally and having slots 44 substantially at 45 degrees to the tread. The leads are bent into parallelism in both embodiments.
