757,879. Colour television electrodes. CHROMATIC TELEVISION LABORATORIES, Inc. Dec. 22, 1953 [Jan. 14, 1953], No. 18048/55. Divided out of 757,811. Drawings to Specification. Class 39 (1). An electrode structure comprising a plurality of wires stretched across a metal frame window has the wires of greater coefficient of expansion than the frame to prevent fracture during baking or heating. The wires are wound between temporary holders on a drum, transferred to a positioning plate and cemented, welded or brazed to the metal frame as described in Specification 757,811. The wires and frame are preferably of stainless steels of differing composition and may be bonded together by an insulating cement or by glass having coefficients of expansion nearly equal to those of the frame. Alternate wire ends be bent upwardly and downwardly to contact common conductor bars. The spacings of the wires may be varied to compensate for deflection errors or distortions due to curved phosphor screens in colour television tubes.
