Abstract
715,533. Drafting mechanism. CASABLANCAS HIGH DRAFT CO., Ltd. Dec. 17, 1952 [Jan. 30, 1952], No. 2544/52. Class 120(2) A drafting mechanism of the kind in which top rollers are carried and weighted by an arm pivotally mounted on a member fixed at the rear of the mechanism has the arm adapted for removable engagement on the pivotal mounting and catch means provided for releasably retaining the said arm on its mounting. As shown the side walls 1a of the arm 1 are formed with downwardly directed aligned slots 7 the mouths of which open into the free under edges of the respective side walls. These slots 7 engage over a pivot pin 10 fixed between parallel side plates 9 clamped on to a fixed bar 8, thus providing a pivotal mounting for the arm 1. Arranged between the side walls 1a is a transverse pin 11 which pivotally carries a hook-like catch member 12 which is urged by a spring 13 into a position for engagement under the pivot pin 10. To remove the arm from its mounting it is swung upwards and the catch member 12 unhooked, manually, from the pin 10. To reassemble the slots 7 are placed over the pin 10 and the arm pressed downwards.
