Abstract
708,641. Cables. TELEGRAPH CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE CO., Ltd. April 8, 1952 [April 17, 1951], No. 8975/51. Class 36. A telecommunication cable comprises a plurality of large coaxial cores A together with a plurality of smaller coaxial cores B disposed in the interstices between the larger cores, the outer conductors of cores A consisting of seamless aluminium tubes which are separated from the wire conductors by a helicallyapplied dielectric membrane, and the outer conductors of cores B, which may be enclosed within helically-applied binding tapes, consisting of longitudinally-folded aluminium tape applied with or without an overlap and with or without a joined seam and being separated from the inner conductors by solid polythene or expanded plastic material. The cable may also include additional plastic-insulated conductors, pairs, triplets or quads such as C,D. Specification 608,147 is referred to.
