Abstract

1303424 Electric couplings PYROTENX Ltd 22 Jan 1970 [22 Jan 1969] 3576/69 Heading H2E A diaphragm of conducting material A, held within a ring of flexible insulating material B, is inserted between the ends of the cores C<SP>1</SP>D<SP>1</SP> of the single core electric cables CD, and the ends of the cables are drawn together tightly using an actuating sleeve J which has righthanded and lefthanded screwthreads engaging two glands H secured to the cables by compression rings G and gland nuts F. The cable ends are prepared by trimming back the insulation and sheathing so that the flexible insulating surround B is gripped by and compressed slightly between the ends of the insulation and sheathing material C, D for sealing purposes.
