[Also in Group XXVII] The cylinder head 1 of a liquid-cooled internal combustion engine is cast to present a facing 2 formed with elongated openings 4 so disposed as to afford access for a fettling-tool to all coolant-passage zones 5 adjoining the engine inlet and exhaust passages 7. The facing 2 receives a conduit 8 which may co-act therewith to blank-off the openings 4 and openings (not shown) in the conduit for fettling thereof.
