Class 117 A screening machine comprises a base 1, a carriage 4 of triangular shape in side elevation resiliently mounted on the base by depending pegs 5 passing through holes in the base and provided with coil springs or rubber blocks between the carriage and base, a screen frame 19 detachably mounted on the carriage by laterally projecting threaded pins engaging in slotted brackets 23 on the carriage and secured by wing nuts, and a rotary transverse shaft 10 mounted in bearings in the base and carrying one or a pair of eccentrics 11 which through one or a pair of connecting rods transmit a vertical high frequency vibratory movement to the carriage. The connecting rod or rods, to absorb shock, may carry rubber bushes through which a transverse shaft on the carriage passes. The machine may be built up from angle section components.
