Abstract
295,359. Cornet, F. C. Aug. 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Reciprocating sieves. - Relates to screens of the kind which are carried by resilient supporting means and receive from an eccentric or unbalanced revolving mass an adjustable vibrating motion, and consists in forming the resilient supporting means of blades of adjustable length. As described, the sieves are carried in a frame 2, Fig. 1, mounted on a stationary frame 1 by two leaf springs 5, which are secured to cross-bars 7 on the frame 2 and are clamped to the stationary frame by members 9, the two end ones of which are adjustable. A shaft 15, Fig. 4, is rotated in bearings in the frame 2 and carries two eccentrics each comprising an inner member 17 and outer member 18, which are adjustable about each other and are held in the adjusted position by a set screw 19 and recesses 20. The frame is pivoted at 27 and its inclination adjusted by struts 28.
