816,847. Sifting apparatus. UNTERNEHMUNGEN DER EISEN-UND STAHLINDUSTRIE A.G., FUR. Dec. 19, 1956 [Dec. 20, 1955], No. 38687/56. Class 117 [Also in Group XXX] An oscillatory frame 2 rests on rubber springs 1, and a screening box 3, which oscillates in opposition to the frame, is supported within it by leaf springs 7 extending between mountings 6 on the frame and transverse members 5 on the screening box. The ends of transverse members 4 and 5 on the box provide abutment faces for rubber buffers 9 carried on blocks 8 on the frame. Each pair of upper and lower buffers is disposed on a line perpendicular to the leaf springs, and the assembly is driven by a shaft 11 mounted in bearing blocks 10 carried on the frame. The shaft is driven from a pulley 12, and two eccentrics on the shaft are each surrounded by a head 13 of a connecting rod 14. The latter are disposed perpendicular to the leaf springs and are located between the frame and box; the end of each rod is joined to a rubber piece 15 secured to a housing 16 mounted on the box.
