Abstract

962,238. Screening apparatus. SCHUCHTERMANN & KREMER-BAUM A.G. FUER AUFBEREITUNG. May 8, 1961 [May 9, 1960], No. 16745/61. Heading B2H. A drive 6 imparts oscillations to a screen frame 1 within a screen box mounted on springs 31, 32, and the main axis of oscillation is at an angle to a screen 2 supported by the frame. Oscillating members 7 are distributed over and secured to the screen and are driven by the oscillations imparted by the drive 6 so as to produce additional oscillations perpendicular to the screen. The members 7 are attached to longitudinal or transverse supports 8, and each member is secured to the screen at one end and has a rubber buffer 74 at its opposite end. The buffer is movable between adjustable stops whereby the amplitude of its movement is controllable. The plunger is secured to the support 8 by a resilient element 75. In a modification, two or more superposed screens are provided, and each oscillating member is secured to each screen.
