Abstract

In an oscillating screen separator comprising a screen 11 mounted on a support structure 10 for reciprocatory movement relative thereto, a drive plate 14 is mounted on the support structure for rotary oscillation about an axis 15, means 16, 17, 18 are provided for imparting rotary oscillation to the drive element, and a connecting rod 20 is connected between the screen and a point on the drive plate 14 spaced radially from the axis 15 so that rotary oscillation of the drive plate imparts reciprocatory oscillation to the screen. The point of connection between the connecting rod 20 and the drive plate 14 is required to be adjustable towards and away from the axis 15 to permit adjustment of the amplitude of oscillating movement of the screen. A further screen 12 is driven by a further connecting rod 20 whose connection to the drive plate 14 is also adjustable. The connecting rod 18 in the drive to the drive plate may also be adjustable in the same way. <IMAGE>
